Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Pawn Stars, Two and a half Men, The Royal Rumble, WWE, TNA and more

What’s up everybody it’s time for another edition of the weekend wrap up.

Anyone else watch the show Pawn Stars? It’s on the History channel and if you have Netflix I suggest streaming a few episodes, it’s a fun show and you can learn stuff without feeling like a nerd.

Also Two and a half men is a show everyone needs to watch very funny, to bad Charlie Sheen is a party animal in real life as well,.

Tomorrow/Today depending on when you read this is WWE’s Royal Rumble, it is one of my favorite pay per views each year and I think we’ll see some surprises from WWE this year as well.

I would expect a guy like Del Rio to get a nice long run in the rumble with possibly even entering at No 1 and going all the way to the final four.

There are STRONG rumors around the net that Booker T will be making his return to the company at the Royal Rumble, I think WWE could use Booker right now I think he’d make a great fit for either Raw or Smackdown!

I’d also expect John Cena to do VERY will in the Royal Rumble on Sunday, I don’t however expect him to win, but you never know with WWE. Cena is the type of guy who will STILL sell the pay per view even without the title.

WWE announced Stone Cold Steve Austin as the host of WWE’s Tough Enough, I like this move I think it will really get fans to tune in just to see the Texas Rattlesnake.

Speaking of Tough Enough there are also rumors of William Regal being the trainer for the show, again I think this would be a GREAT move, I hope he is more like Al Snow when he was a trainer Al was a GREAT mentor for those kids.

WWE had a Champion VS Champion match on Raw between Miz and Edge, to bad these matches lost their meaning a long time ago.

I do like the cross brand appearances now days, that WWE has been doing. It sure has made Smackdown! more enjoyable.

TNA’s “big” impact they’ve been promoting is coming up this Thursday, I’m VERY interested in this to see who the new “they” are. I’m betting it will be one big let down though, just like most things TNA does.

If Hardy gets his belt back I really just may stop watching TNA all together. I’m not a Hardy fan anymore and I think Anderson is the best long-term option for TNA. Anderson is GREAT on the mic and depending on who he’s in the ring with he’s very good in the ring.

Seeing as Jeff Hardy sentencing has still not happened yet I don’t see a title change this Thursday on impact! I REALLY hope TNA gives Anderson a long run. He deserves it.

Matt Hardy seems to be very bloated these days, I’m not impressed with his in ring work at all since coming to TNA and I did have some hopes for him as he was talking himself up making it seem like he was trying to get in shape.

TNA brought up the fact that Abyss had been attacked at the end of impact! Two weeks ago, it’s about time. I still think that should have been the focus point as impact went off the air that week with Tennay or Taz saying something.

This past week Shotgun Wrestling Radio announced we are moving to a new home. www.shoetalk.com will be the NEW home for Shotgun Wrestling Radio, We will still be on at the same time Monday’s at 2pm, and you will have to register a user name to access our show, but it is completely free! So we’d REALLY appreciate the support if you guys would follow us to our new home.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking The Corre, The Nexus, Royal Rumble, TNA, "They" and MUCH more.

What's up everybody? It's time for another edition of the weekend wrap up.

The Royal Rumble is just a couple weeks away and it's shaping up to be decent.

Each week it seems my pick for the Rumble winner changes, this week i just could see Morrison going out on top.

I would expect to see a showdown between CM Punk's Nexus and Wade Barrett's The Corre during the Rumble to possibly set up for a match at Elimination Chamber.

I like the feel so far of the Corre group it doesn't seem that there is one leader and they all do their part. It is nice to see WWE going back to having Factions though. I think you often times need factions to help spice things up a bit.

Not very many matches announced for the rumble, but they're doing a nice job hyping up the 40 man Royal Rumble match.

I think Edge will go out on top of his match but I also wouldn't be surprised to see Ziggler win his first title as well.

I do see The Miz going over Randy Orton again and walking into Wrestlemania as champion.

Anybody else catch Superstars this week? Anybody? Anybody? haha didn't think so, Apparently David Hart Smith and Darren Young are a new tag team now. Should be interesting to see if we ever get to see them on Raw at some point.

Speaking of Superstars Gail Kim and Alicia put on a REALLY decent women's match on LAST week's episode of superstars, if you haven't checked it out you should go watch it.

Superstars is more or less Sunday night heat but only on Thursdays.

TNA was still hyping "they" again this past week, I'm so sick of they "they" storyline I don't know why they felt the need to go back to it. I'm not getting my hopes up on who "they" are mainly cause last time it was an utter disappointment

TNA caught yet another break in the Jeff Hardy case as his sentence was delayed until later next month.

Regardless I see Anderson keeping the belt on Feb 3rd, until TNA finds out what Hardy's sentence will be. Either way I'm just not a fan of Hardy as champion.

I'm not sure what to think of the Jeff Jarret/Karren Jarrett/Kurt Angle Storyline.

I think Angle and Jeff will be able to have a hell of a match with each other, Angle looks to be in GREAT shape right now and Angle brings the best out of people he's in the ring with.

10-1 chance that TNA produces their Feb 3rd iMpact better then their next Pay Per View.....Right now there doing more hype for that then there next pay per view. I just have this feeling that's what TNA is gunna do......

If you haven't yet please check the Shotgun Wrestling Radio facebook page for the announcement on where we will be moving our show to.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking WWE, TNA, Matt Hardy, Ultimate Fighter, Royal Rumble and Much More!

How's it going everyone? It's time to get this weekend wrap up rollin!

TNA Put on a good quality Pay Per View last weekend, Kudos. You don't see me saying that very often.

I loved the ending with the surprised TNA World Title match and even better with Mr. Anderson winning the World Title!

I hope TNA gives Anderson a long title run, he deserves it and IMO has gotten MUCH better since coming to TNA. He's currently one of my favorite guys on their roster.

I really hope they don't make Anderson carry around the "Jeff Hardy World Title"

Matt Hardy made his debut Sunday night, Shouldn't of surprised anyone really. What should of surprised people is how much he looks like Tyler Reks or as Ziggy put it a Raven rip off.

I don't see Matt Hardy being a main event-er in TNA. I honestly just see him being another guy on their roster.

I'm also starting to loose any respect I ever had for Matt Hardy, dude runs his mouth to much and OVER-Hyped his return....I thought he was working out? Could of fooled me.

Moving on to Raw.

It was a very talkative show, I liked the Nexus "initiation" that Punk did....Those welts on the back of Husky looked like they hurt like a mother fu*ker....

The way WWE is pushing Alberto Del Rio on both brands there is no way he doesn't become world champion within the next year.

If I had to pick a Royal Rumble winner right now I would put money on Del Rio winning.

I'm really interested to see where WWE goes with King Sheamus, loosing this week to Morrison, doesn't do much for him. Guy should be in the title hunt.

WWE is advertising Triple H's return to the ring, it's only a matter of time for him to come back. If i had to bet i see him returning during the Royal Rumble to eliminate Sheamus to continue their feud going into a Wrestlemania Match.

Who else could be away from T.V. for just about a year and get a bigger pop then The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels? GREAT ovation.

Also who better to go into the Hall of Fame then HBK? The Greatest performer perhaps of all time. He's always been my top favorite wrestler ahead of Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan.

I would be willing to guess Triple H would induct him in the hall of fame. I know at one point he said he would like Bret Hart to do it but that was before they cleared the air with each other. I would like to see the whole gang induct him HHH,Nash,Pac and Hall would be cool to see them induct hui,. But chances are it'll be HHH.

I would love to see Sting accept a Hall of fame induction with WWE and have them do a proper DVD on him. I also would like to see Savage and Lugar go in as well...I think Lugar is a lock to go in but I'm not so sure about Savage.

Dana White put the rumors of Brock Lesnar doing Wrestlemania to rest even more by announcing that he will be a coach on the next Ultimate Fighter, this move surprised me as Lesnar doesn't care to much for reality TV. The other coach is Junior Dos Santos which is a much better fight then having another Brock V.S. Frank Mir fight.

That'll do it for another edition of the weekend wrap up.

TNA Genesis Picks

Matt Morgan V.S. Mr. Anderson for the No 1 contender-ship for the TNA Heavyweight championship - I'm taking Mr. Anderson in this one. If we have to sit through another Morgan/Hardy match up, we all will need help.

Kurt Angles V.S. Jeff Jarrett in an MMA Exhibition - Angle should clearly win this one.

RVD V.S. an opponent of Jeff Hardy's choice - I think the mystery opponent will be either Matt Hard, Shane Helms or Abyss, either way I think RVD wins here.

Motor City Machine Guns V.S. Beer Money inc for the TNA tag titles - I think this time around Beer Money will have the machine guns number and take the gold.

Madison Rayne V.S Mickie James for the TNA Knockouts title- I think Mickie will get the win here and get her first TNA knockouts title.

Brother Ray V.S. Devon - Snooze fest in this one....Don't care about this match at all...I'll go with Brother Ray though

Jay Lethal V.S Kazarian for the X-Division title - Should be a good opener, I think Jay Lethal will retain here but wouldn't be surprised to see Kazarian win it either.

Douglas Williams V.S A.J Styles for the TNA TV Title- I think Williams retains the belt here.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking WWE,TNA, Title Reigns and much more

Well I hope you all had a wonderful holidays, I sure did but am also glad they are over and things can get back to normal. Now it's time for the weekend wrap up.

I thought Monday's Raw was very good. WWE needs to produce more shows like this weekly.

You gotta feel bad for John Morrison, just when you think he's getting a push they end it to early IMO. I wish they would of made him in the main event at the Royal Rumble.

I can't say I'm looking forward to another Miz VS Orton match, needless to say i do think Miz will win and be champion come Wrestlemania.

Anyone catch Smackdown! last night? Overall it was a very stacked show.

I'm happy to see Kofi Kingston got the IC title.

Wade Barrett on Smackdown is a good move, be interesting to see how he is used, I think Wade still has star potential.

Speaking of Barrett I LOVE the addition of CM Punk to The Nexus, I've always been a fan of Punk and think is makes a GREAT leader for them.

Smackdown! brand is coming to Cedar Rapids for a house show, I bought tickets for me and my brother-in-law, should be fun, Smackdown! has not done a house show here before.

TNA announced the X-Division championship match would open up the pay-per-view tomorrow, GREAT move, you need something to get the crowd into it and on track for the rest of the night.

There aren't a lot of matches on this pay-per-view I'm looking forward to, The main event should be decent, I'm hoping Anderson comes out on top, also looking forward to Jarrett/Angle. I think those two should be able to throw it down.

Otherwise this Pay-Per-View is just another show for me. I DO think we will see Matt Hardy debut OR Shane Helms debut to face RVD. TNA has always been good about keeping debut's a surprise.

If you guys haven't yet go pick up a copy of The WWE Championship book, I'm about 14 chapters into it right now and so far it's a GREAT read.

One thing I found interesting is how long title reigns were back in those days, I mean you would have guys have the belt for 3-4 years, I don't think thats possible in todays wrestling world. The closest we came to it was John Cena.

Kind of a shorter weekend wrap up this week. Be sure to check back tomorrow for our TNA pay per view picks.
