Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Edge retirement/memories, WWE Draft, TNAs fake crowd noise, Hogan to wrestle? and more
Edge recently retired, wasn't expecting this at all two weeks ago watching Raw, I figured it was just part of a storyline. Come to find out he has some serious issues which could of really ended badly for the Rated-R Superstar. Good he called it quits when he did.
One of my favorite Edge matches has to been Edge VS Mick Foley from Wrestlemania 22, what a GREAT hardcore match this was.
Hogan sent out some tweets suggesting Edge should wrestle through the pain......Hogan's nothing more then an idiot and the more i see him on TV attempting to get back into the ring the more i lose respect for him. If anyone needs to step away it's Hogan.
Raw last Monday was in the UK, which for us US folks meant it was taped.....I don't care for taped Raw's at all. I usually don't read spoilers, but the show just does NOT have a live feel to it.
Sin Cara has been making a decent debut so far with the WWE, he had a few botch spots against Primo on Raw two weeks ago, but recovered nicely. He also had a good showing in the tag match with Cena last week.
WWE is doing a draft tomorrow night. Draft are exciting but at the same time their pointless. I mean we see Alberto Del Rio on Monday Night Raw every week...So any "big" star that gets sent to smackdown! you can bet we will still see on Raw each week.
I truly hope Miz stays on Raw, I know it won't happen but Michael Cole to NXT would be ideal for me :-). JR also claims he's draftable, one would hope this is where they will go back to Lawler/JR duo for Raw.
I watched impact two weeks ago only to discover they have begun using fake crowd noise....They zoom in on the dead zone marks and they aren't moving, they aren't cheering or booing their just standing there.....Honestly TNA if you have to use FAKE crowd noise something is SERIOUSLY wrong with your location.
I will admit Lockdown was a good PPV.
They stared teasing Hogan VS Sting.......10-1 chance this will be on impact for FREE when it should be a PPV, to try and get SOME money from fans who for whatever reason may still want to see Hogan limp around a ring.
The fake crowd noise really puts a sour taste in my mouth with TNA, almost to the point where i will stop watching all together.
Shotgun Wrestling Radio returns at it's normal time 2pm on talkshoe.com tomorrow afternoon.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Rock/Cena, Wrestlemania aftermath, Tough Enough, TNA and much more.
My only major complaint with Wrestlemania was the fact that Sheamus and Daniel Bryan match got snubbed to the Pre-show, when it would of been on the main card.
Also what was the purpose of the 8 man tag? It proved nothing more other then The Coore are jobbers and are not meant to be taking serious. They buried them on Raw and Smackdown! this week as well.
I don't get why Edge decided to beat up a car....what was the point of that?
You build up a guy like Alberto Del Rio to have him NOT win the World title match? Hmm he better win it at Extreme rules then.
Cena-Miz was very predictable as far as the ending went.
HHH-Taker was an amazing match, just as good as Taker-HBK from the previous two years.
I enjoyed Sin Cara's debut Monday night, nice way to get him into a feud right away with Sheamus for the US title.
It'll be interesting to see where they put Daniel Bryan now that his feud with Sheamus seems to be over.
WWE will be doing some spring cleaning here soon i think guys like Primo, Chris Masters, Zack Ryder among other should be nervous.
WWE announced Cena VS Rock for Wrestlemania 28 a year early, i won't talk much on this since I did a blog earlier this week, feel free to go check it out.
Tough Enough debuted Monday and I really enjoyed the episode, it's to early to tell who will be favorite but i look forward to the rest of the season.
The road to lockdown is heating up for TNA, I know Zigman is getting excited for the PPV
Honestly I can't really watch much TNA now days, it's very WCWish to me.
There's always way to much Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan running around each week.
TNA really hasn't improved much since Hogan and Bischoff came in, I think they were headed in the right direction before Hogan and Bischoff came in.
We will give a full preview of Lockdown on Monday on Shotgun Wrestling Radio as well as details of the show the Zigman will be putting together while at Lockdown. Be sure to join us Monday at 2pm on talkshoe.com

Wrestlemania 28 Rock VS Cena, Bold move by WWE.
This is a match fans have been wanting but never thought would happen. The great one hasn't wrestled in 7 years. tt would be wise for WWE and for The Rock to give him a warm up match. I honestly think we will see Rock VS Miz at Summer Slam. I'd be surprised if we didn't. However if Miz is still champion come Summer Slam it won't happen.
WWE has to do a few things now within the next year.
1. Keep the fans interest in the match
2. Protect John Cena, You can't have your golden boy get hurt and risk him being out of action and missing Wrestlemania, better off telling him to go film a movie for 6 months.
3. Have The Rock stick around the entire year, you can't have this all be on Cena to keep attention, plus The Rock does = ratings.
If WWE can do those three things they should be good to go. I for one am looking forward to this match, Cena tends to put on great Wrestlemania matches, his match with HBK at Wrestlemania 23 is what earned my respect. With The Rock's experience both him and Cena should tear the house down! The interesting question then comes to: Well will it be THE main event and go on last? No doubt WWE will make a huge deal out of Taker's streak and it will more then likely be his LAST Wrestlemania, But if it will be The Rock's first match in 8 years(by that time it will be) then it should indeed be the LAST match.
The next 12 months should be an interesting ride for WWE. It will be interesting to see how they go about keeping the attention on this match for the next year as well as keep Cena in feuds. I think it will be a challenging thing for the writers to do. It will be interesting to watch.
We will have much more to say on this on Monday's Shotgun Wrestling Radio at 2pm on talkshoe.com!

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Wrestlemania, Hall of Fame, TNA and Much More
Yes today is our Super Bowl our World Series our National Championship! Well you get the rest!
Needless to say I'm VERY excited for Wrestlemania. I think this year will be extra special with The Rock hosting and hopefully kicking John Cena's ass in some way.
The match I'm actually most excited for is Sheamus VS Daniel Bryan for the US title. I keep telling people they should tear the house down. They had a pretty good match on Raw a couple weeks ago. I think if they're giving 20-25 min they should be able to pull a GREAT opening match.
What a way to end Monday Night Raw? I mean nothing better then watching The Rock lay the people's elbow, Cena of course added the fuel to the fire with the Attitude Adjustment on The Rock. In my opinion this will help even more set up a match between Rock and Cena. Rock has said recently that he is willing to wrestle again.
WWE has taken over Atlanta this weekend and has been ALL over the place. Lots of great interviews out there from all the Superstars. We've posted a lot of them over on the Facebook page, so feel free to go check them out!
Last night was the Hall of Fame and it airs Tomorrow night on USA right before Raw. I expect WWE and USA to show Sunny, Road Warrior Animal and HBK's speaches. It looked like it was a very special night for everyone involved.
Also tomorrow night the new season of Tough Enough Deubts! I for one am extremely excited to see how they produced and edited the new season, hopefully it has some elements from the first three seasons of the show. I like that Bill Demott is the head trainer for the show, he was a good trainer in the third season of the show.
Rock has been promoting all week that he will get more physical tonight and I think it begins with John Cena. As long as we see Rock give the Rock Bottom to Cena, I'll be happy.
WWE isn't making that big of a deal out of Stone Cold being a guest ref, personally they need to do a better job at that. Having Rock and Austin on the show is HUGE.
Michel Cole is annoying as fuck now days, at first I could handle him but now they've got so over the top with his character it's down right annoying. I hope The King beats the living snot out of him tonight.
TNA impact this week had a lot of Anderson/Sting, which is fine but I think there was too much this week.
Still not enough wrestling on impact for my liking.
Why are the Buck brothers wrestling each other? I don't get it.
Whats with Angelina Love being drugged up by Winter? it's just weird.
Christopher Daniels made his surprise return to impact. Most likely he'll be taking AJ Style's place while AJ is out of action. Hot ending for impact with him jumping off the top of the steel cage.
ROH crowned new tag team champions on their i-PPV this past weekend, Congrats to Hass and Benjamin on winning the ROH tag team titles.
ROH in my opinion is the BEST pure wrestling company out of all the company's right now. TNA use to have that title, but then came Hogan and Bischoff.
I hope you all enjoy Wrestlemania tonight, i will be giving live facebook updates on our Facebook page tonight. Be sure to join me!

Wrestlemania 27 Picks!!!!
Chewy's Picks
Jerry Lawler VS Michael Cole w/Jack Swagger - This has been a hot feud on raw for months and I'm fed up with Cole and his freaking Cole Miners. I think Lawler gets his revenge. Chewy's Pick: Lawler

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Snookie Mania? The Cole Mine? Sheamus/Daniel Bryan,Jeff Hardy,TNA and MUCH More
Snookie guest hosting raw wasn't to bad actually. They didn't over use her which was nice. She is set for a match at Wrestlemania.....Shame just a shame. She will most likely get a rather LARGE payday as well.
Sheamus and Daniel Bryan had a pretty solid match on Raw Monday, hopefully it leads to a re-match at Mania. I could see those two opening the show at Mania, they put on a great match and I think it would be a solid choice to get Mania kicked off in the right way.
Taker VS Hunter sounds like it will be the main event at Mania, which in my opinion it should very well be. Taker's Mania matches have usually always been tough one to follow especially the last two years with HBK.
Rock cut another fun promo on Monday night, was also a GREAT way to open the show. If you guys aren't yet i highly recommend you follow the rock on twitter @therock. He's a funny guy.
Good to see JR back on Raw Monday night, I REALLY hope he calls the show at Mania, In think fans would be pretty excited to see him call Mania, especially Triple H VS Taker match.
Um they have a cole mine now? I'll admit it's GREAT for his character and it works out great to get the heat on him but wow. I know Aria loves him but damn he's just getting to the point where I can fn stand him now. I'm sure we will have much more to say on this during Monday's show.
I'm loving the Sin Cara videos WWE is using to promote him. It sounds like he will end up on the Raw brand as he is being advertised for upcoming Raw events in May. If i had to guess I'd say both him and Awesome Kong will debut sometime after Mania.
TNA this week should of been called TNT (total nonstop talking) That was not a good Raslin show at all they put on on Thursday night.
I read that impact this week featured a grand total of 9 minuets of wrestling on the whole show.....WOW.
The more we learn about Jeff Hardy the more and more I loose faith in him and TNA as a company. Like it or not TNA made a HUGE mistake letting him "compete" at Victory Road.
With that said I think they recovered nicely from the Jeff Hardy saga, I like that they got rid of his belt finally. The new belt looks nice. Hopefully the Hardy saga will teach them that you don't need to make a belt for a specific superstar.
Sting cut a nice promo in the opening segment on Thursday, really did a nice job at holding his own and felt like what he said came from the heart.
The opening was edited weird because of some not smart choice words by Hulk, so when they cut to break and came back AJ and Fortune were all in the ring. It wasn't a horrible edit by any means but you could tell it was edited.
The ending of impact was about the only bright spot of the entire show. AJ made Bully Ray look great. AJ is VERY underutilized in TNA. In my opinion either him or Anderson should be that company's World Champion. If i had to pick between the two I'd say AJ. He is a GREAT talent.
We will have much more to say on these topic Monday at 2pm central time on Shotgun Wrestling Radio on talkshoe.com!

TNA: Doom and Gloom near?
Fans left last night's Victory Road ppv extremely pissed off and chanting bullshit on the way out. That is NOT the way you want to send your hometown crowd home. Fans were reporting seeing Sting walk up the ramp pissed off, makes me wonder if he was second guessing himself by resigning with TNA.
Word getting out is that Sting told TNA management that he would NOT wrestle a long match with Jeff Hardy is he was unable to preform, hence the main event being only 90 seconds. This may be a HUGE eye opener for TNA come this weeks taping. How will the crowd respond after getting cheated out of a main event? Will the booing continue at the dead zone? If i were TNA I'd be really worried about these questions,
Yes it is only one match, but remember it was only one match between Goldberg and DDP that fans did not get to see because of the PPV time back in the days of WCW which started the downward spiral of the company.
Jeff Hardy owes Sting, TNA and the TNA fan base a HUGE apology. If this were WWE and Hardy were unab;e to preform he would of been stripped of the title and suspended. TNA needs to think about giving Jeff Hardy his walking papers. In my opinion he is a cancer to TNA. He hasn't done much good for the company and hasn't really had 5 star matches since returning.
I want TNA to be a success as much as the next person but, Jeff Hardy should of NEVER been sent out last night. TNA should of made the main event a triple threat between Anderson , RVD and Sting. That would of been much more entertaining.
We will have MUCH more on this hot topic today on Shotgun Radio on talkshoe.com today at 2pm!
TNA Victory Road Preview and Picks!

In just a couple hours TNA will have their Victory Road PPV! Here are our picks.
Chewy's Picks
Sting vs. Jeff Hardy for the TNA Title - Can't say I'm excited about this one, I don't see a title changing hands as Sting just got the belt and they have been changing way to often. My pick: Sting
Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez in a First Blood match: Matt Morgan has impressed me with his run in TNA. My pick: Morgan
Rob Van Dam vs. Mr. Anderson in a No. 1 contenders match: This should be a good match between the two, I really want to see Anderson win this one so my pick goes to: Anderson
Matt Hardy vs. A.J. Styles: I liked the street fight between the two on Thursday and it would of been better without Ric Flair. This one is a tough pick for me, but i'm going with: Aj Styles
Kazarian vs. Jeremy Buck vs. Max Buck vs. Robbie E in an Ultimate X match for the X Division Title: As always should be a fun high spot type match. I'm taking Kazarian in this one though.
Beer Money vs. Ink Inc. for the TNA Tag Titles- Can Ink Ink live up to the bar that Beer Money and Motor City set? I doubt it, I'm taking: Beer Money
Bully Ray vs. Tommy Dreamer: This match will open the PPV.....Oh joy. I don't care one bit about this match or feud. My pick: Bully Ray
Angelina Love and Winter vs. Sarita and Rosita for the TNA Knockouts Tag Titles: Again just a throw away match for me My pick: Sarita and Rosita

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking WWE House show, Snookie on raw or The Bachelor? TNA and more!
Snookie is guest hosting raw tomorrow night, I DESPISE the jersey shore, I'm actually considering watching the finale of The bachelor, that's how much i hate jersey shore.
Although I'd love to see Snookie get dropped on her head :-)
After gong to last night's WWE house show i've come to the conclusion that WWE really needs to give their diva's more air time, Layla and Kelly Kelly both really impressed me.
House shows always give more wrestling obviously but I think divas could use more TV time.
Speaking of diva's I wanted to beat the shit out of Michael Cole Monday for interrupting them during their divas match Monday. I know it's part of the storyline but that was just fucking rude, how are the fans supposed to get behind the divas when you have your lame ass announcer distracting them from the match? Come on Man!
It was great seeing Stone Cold Steve Austin back on Raw Monday, and seeing JBL back on Raw to. Even better that Austin gave him two stunners. The beer bath on Cole was PERFECT.
WWE started airing the video for Sin Cara this week, I think the video looks great and can't wait to see him come to WWE.
I'm interested to see where things with Sheamus go, maybe their trying to move him to Smackdwown? I could see that happening and I think it would be a good move for him as well.
Alberto Del Rio WILL be World Champion after Wrestlemania, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be unless WWE want's to throw us a curve ball.
WWE is advertising The Rock for raw after mania, so it appears he will be around for at least one Raw. Personally I'd love them to start setting up Rock VS Cena for Summerslam. Yes i know thats months away but Rock VS Cena isn't a match for backlash or your "b" ppv.
Impact to me felt like a replay of last weeks show. I understand showing people what happened but they should of done a short 2 min recap video to open the show instead of a bunch of 3-5 minuet clips from last weeks show.
Flair wrestled a match.....and he bled.....is anyone else surprised? Didn't think so.
Matt Hardy and AJ Styles should be a decent match tonight at Victory Road.
If we see the TNA title change hands I may seriously cry.
Anderson deserves to be No 1 contender over RVD IMO. But unless it's Jeff Hardy TNA for some reason doesn't give a shit.
Ink Ink does not impress me one bit I think Beer Money should handle business tonight.
A knockouts tag team title match tonight......oh joy. Another title i think they should get rid of.
Be sure to join us Monday at 2pm on talkshoe.com as we talk more about the TNA victory road ppv and Monday night raw.
WWE Smackdown house show 3-12-11 results live from Cedar Rapids,IA
Date: 3-12-11
Place: US Cellular Center Cedar Rapids,IA
Arena was pretty nicely packed with only the top balcony not being full which is how it usually ends up for house shows.
JTG came to the ring to start things off, but Alberto Del Rio and Big Brodus Clay attacked him before he got to the ring then they continued the beat down in the ring until Edge and Christian made the save setting up the main event for later in the evening.
Opening match: Layla def Kelly Kelly – Very good match surprisingly, WWE really needs to give their divas more time in the ring on raw and smackdown! Both these girls did very well, Kelly Kelly really surprised me.
Shotime Percy Watson def Curt Hawkins – Not to many people seemed interested in this one, a lot of people around me asking who Curt Hawkins was....They obviously don’t watch Superstars. Percy looked pretty good in this match though.
Ankle Lock VS Master Lock challenge match: Jack Swagger def Chris Masters – Masters did a nice job getting the crowd behind him and Swagger did a GREAT job getting heat against him with his opening promo. Swagger won with the Ankel lock.
Tag Team title match: Big Show and Kane def The Coore via DQ, one of the better matches up to this point, the crowd loved Show and Kane.
Intermission
Chavo Guerrero def Tyler Reekes – Chavo got a nice reaction from the crowd and ended up winning with the frog splash.
Triple Threat match for the IC title – Kofi Kingston def Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes – Kofi was defiantly over with the crowd, got a nice pop and put on a pretty good match between the three.
Edge and Christian def Alberto Del Rio and Brodus Clay – Edge got a huge pop, the match itself was pretty fun. It was great seeing Edge and Christian as a tag team again.
Biggest Pop
Edge
Kofi Kingston
Big Show
Christian
Kane
Biggest Heat
Alberto Del Rio
The Coore
Jack Swagger
Drew McIintyre
Layla
Overall fun show, house shows are usually great and this one wasn’t much different.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Lack of wrestling, TNA on the Road, Road to Wrestlemania, Tough Enough and Much More.
If you are a "wrestling" fan there wasn't very much of it this week from either of the brands this week.
Triple H's return promo wasn't anything special IMO, I think this match at mania could very well be his last in WWE as he is in the front office of WWE and will be running things once Vince finally calls it quits.
The Undertaker made his return to Smackdown! was very effective, defending his streak at mania.
I hate to say it but I'm rooting for Hunter come mania. I know Taker will win but I gotta root for Hunter just like i rooted for HBK the last two years.
The Rock cut another GREAT promo on Cena this week. The Rock can STILL put on a GREAT promo. To bad he won't be staying past Wrestlemania, It's been fun having him back in the WWE again.
Nice to see Evan Bourne back on Raw again, it was a very short match but still nice to see him return.
It'll be interesting to see what WWE does with Michael McGuility when he comes back after getting the punt kick to the head from Randy Orton on Monday.
I really enjoyed The Miz's work during the cage match on Monday night, to see him live-tweet during the match was pretty cool.
WWE is bringing Stone Cold Steve Austin to Raw on Monday, Should be huge ratings for them. Most likely he will be there to talk about the new tough enough show which has 14 contestants. I'm really looking forward to this new season, I think Bill Demott, Booker T and Trish will make GREAT trainers on the show.
I enjoyed the new crowd for TNA impact it was nice to see a different crowd and they were pretty pumped the whole show.
To bad for them there wasn't very much wrestling.
I think TNA and Dixie both received a lot of negative reaction to their 3-3-11 promo for ripping off WWE or as some would say "making fun" of WWE as TNA did NOT air the promo throughout the show like WWE did. Probably a wise move on TNA's part.
I can't say I'm thrilled about Sting being TNA champion, I know his reign won't last long. They should of NEVER taken the belt off Anderson in the first place, cause they will soon make Sting drop the belt to Hardy anyway.
It's a shame TNA doesn't take pride in their titles anymore, It's ok for the belt to change hands on free TV once in awhile but why would i bother ordering a PPV when I know your main title won't change hands? I also wish they would give guys a longer title reign, I'm a fan of long title reigns as I feel it makes the belt mean more.
The Wedding angle was easily my least favorite part of impact this past week, just plain boring and I feel like I've seen this wedding destruction before.
TNA scored their highest rating this week, Congrats to them, but the thing is can they keep it? Chances are no. I feel they needs something different. Dixie should of really pushed for Paul Hayman a little bit harder Hogan and Bischoff aren't cutting it for me anymore.
Matt Hardy looks to be getting in better shape which is good for him, to bad he will always be that mid-card wrestler.
Shotgun Wrestling Radio will be on at a different time Monday, we will be on at 12:30pm Central time Monday on talkshoe.com. We hope you join us!

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Triple H/Taker, 3-3-11, Wrestlemania,TNA, Misticio, and Much More!
This week WWE revealed 2-21-11 to be what we already knew, the return of the dead man, But it was also the return of Triple H!
Today WWE announced Triple H V.S. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania!
I liked the set up for this neither superstar said one word nor did they have to, the crowd went nuts for each superstar.
TNA see's WWE does a 2-21-11 video so what do they do? They copy the exact same video promoting the return of Sting. I think WWE is trying to shove it in WWE's face that they signed Sting, but really does Vince give a shit? Chances are no.
TNA use to be this thing i call WRESTLING yes WRESTLING they opened every PPV saying "TNA We Are Wrestling" Now they are nothing more then WWE wannabees. They have been since Hogan and Bischoff came in.
The 3-3-11 video really pissed me off, we all knew Sting was coming back it's not a surprise TNA. So to try and stick it to WWE didn't work. If anything WWE stuck it to you more when they fucked your "they" storyline and you bastards know it.
I want TNA to be a success but they need to do something DIFFERENT from WWE, they need to not worry about WWE. Right now they are just another Sports Entertainment company, while they use to be a WRESTLING company.
WWE announced the signing of Mexican superstar Mistico who's new name is Sin Cara. I think this is a GREAT move by WWE to make such a huge deal about this. They get GREAT ratings in Mexico and I think another Mexican star will help.
We have a highlight video of him on our Facebook page I highly suggest you go check it out.
WWE seems to be setting up Mysterio VS Cody Rhodes for mania, I liked the extreme Cody went to on Smackdown! last night.
If Alberto Del Rio does NOT win the World Title I'll be more surprised, I think Del Rio will go on to win and the World Title and have a longer reign the most TNA champions do.
Getting back to Mistico I really hope WWE does a feud with him and Rey Mysterio, I think those two could tear down the house. The way WWE promoted signing him I don't see him going to FCW at all.
Next week is TNA's on the road impact debut, I'm looking forward to it, not just because Sting returns but because I think the crowd will be more alive then they have been in the "dead-zone"
I'm already looking forward to next week's weekend wrap up after impact air, I'd say more but I don't wanna spoil to much.
Don't forget to join us on Monday at 2pm as Aria challenges me to the Shotgun Wrestling Radio Trivia Championship! Plus all three of us have a lot to say about TNA's um response to WWE and their 2-21-11 video! So join us at 2pm on shoetalk.com!

Chewy's Weekend Wrap up: Talking The Rock, Dolph Ziggler, Elemination Chamber, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and Much More!
The Rock made a HUGE surprise return on Monday night and cut one of the BEST promos we've seen in YEARS!
The Rock posted a picture of himself in the ring earlier in the day on his facebook teasing a potential return about an hour after Shotgun Wrestling Radio went off air.
Nice job by WWE on not editing The Great One and just letting him go! The fans hung on The Rock's everyword and it was GREAT!
Dolph Ziggler is claiming he is the new World Champion.....I can't say I don't like the move but they do need to start pushing their younger guys on the Smackdown brand.
Edge has been hinting that his time in wrestling could becoming close to an end, and it may be a good time to let Dolph have the title.
Remember Jack Swagger? Yeah he was a World Champion once......seems they dropped the ball on that guy.
Daniel Bryan and Miz tore it up on Monday Night. Daniel Bryan has the ability to make anyone look good in the ring and that is a true talent in itself. I hope someday WWE will give Bryan a shot and win the WWE title.
Eve is beginning to win me over as of late, call me crazy I know but her and Natalya had a pretty good match on Monday night .
Elimination Chamber had some good hype going into it, although I think it's safe to say many of us are more excited for Wrestlemania. Don't forget our Elimination Chamber picks will be up tomorrow.
Why does TNA start off EVERY week with fucking Eric Bischoff in the middle of the ring?! For once I'd like to see WRESTLING to kick off the show!
The Jeff Jarrett/Karen Jarrett stuff made me want to PUKE this week. I'm slowly loosing interest in this feud. The finish to their match at against all odds sucked to.
Another one I can't stand is Bully Ray, I was hoping Tazz would choke him out when he was yelling at him.
The knockouts had a decent tag team match this week, their division is starting to get better.
AJ and Matt Hardy put on a decent show, The crowd had NO reaction to Flair costing AJ the match though.
RVD and Jeff Hardy had a good match as well, nothing GREAT but good.
I still can't believe those bastards put the belt back on Hardy.......
I hope you guys join Me, Ziggy and Aria on Monday as we talk about all that has happened this week as well as our reactions to The Rock's surprise return on shoetalk.com at 2pm central time!

Note from Chewy: I know there's an X-Division match tonight but one of the Buck boys tweeted that they've been screwed by their airline and won't make the show, therefor I'm not making a pick on that one.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Wrestlemania, Angle/Jarrett, Y2J and Much More!
We are on the Road To Wrestlemania!
So far elimination chamber is shaping up nicely with a nice build around it.
Can't say i'm excited about The King V.S Miz for the title, but the Elimination Chamber matches are usually always good.
I know WWE is trying to build Alberto Del Rio pretty strongly, but why have him on both shows? Last i knew he was on the Smackdown! roster.
WWE got lucky this week with both Raw and Smackdown! being in Wisconsin right after Green Bay won the Super Bowl. The Clay Matthews guest ref spot on Smackdown! was a nice touch.
We should start seeing weekly hall of fame spots starting Monday leading up until Mania. I always like watching these and can't wait to see who else gets inducted, i think Lex Lugar is a lock i also wouldn't doubt a couple of the former four horse men either.
2-21-11 has been all but confirmed that it IS indeed the return of The Undertaker, I know this will piss a lot of fans off but what can ya do?
I wouldn't be surprised to see HHH return that night as well to set up their Mania match.
I received Y2J's book last week early through pre-order, and i can say it is a MUST read for any Y2J fan. You learn about both the Music business and Wrestling business and Y2J has massive balls! The way he's stood up to Vince takes some balls to do.
iMpact this week had WAY to much Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett for one show.
Just once could we start iMpact without Eric Bischoff? Would that be to much to ask for?
I'm interested to see how the Last Knockout Standing match comes across, i think Mickie and Madision Rayne can pull off a good match.
I'm also interested in Jarret/Angle match, I think these two could steal the show, they've done enough build up for it we should have a 10 minuet video package right?
Fat Hardy VS RVD..........can't say i'm excited about this.
We will have our picks tomorrow on the blog, so stay tuned for that.
Here's an open letter to TNA......Dear TNA PLEASE keep the belt on Anderson! if Jeff Hardy wins the belt back I just may lose hope in you guys all together. Hardy IMO does NOT deserve the belt! Anderson can lead the company as a great face champion. I see more dedication from Anderson then I do Hardy, I feel Hardy is more or less just there for a pay day. So please TNA do yourself a favor and keep the belt on Anderson.
That'll do it for this weeks edition of the weekend wrap up. Stay tuned tomorrow for our TNA Against All Odds Picks!

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking "they" The Royal Rumble Aftermath, Booker T, Kevin Nash and Much More!
The Royal Rumble in my eyes was a great ppv. I thought the match itself was pretty good and entertaining.
Both Nash and Booker got HUGE reactions during the Rumble, I think most fans had wanted them to go on further. I know I had them in my final four.
John Morrison is a beast! He could really be the human spiderman!
I like how they're pushing Jerry Lawler, he has really become a crowd favorite over the last few years. I'm interested to see how his match with The Miz goes at Elimination Chamber.
The Michael Cole Storyline should be heating up here in the next few weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if they try and do a match with Cole and The King at Mania.
WWE started running a promo for 2-21-11 which are leading many to believe it could lead to the debut of Sting. I would LOVE for this to be Sting and to see him get into the Hall of Fame.
Booker T is now the new head trainer for the new Tough Enough, smart move on WWE's part as Booker has had his own school i Texas for a few years now.
Alberto Del Rio won the Royal Rumble, I had been saying that he would for a very long time but at last minuet changed my mine. In my opinion Del Rio will win the World title from Edge at Mania and be a GREAT heel champion.
Many people were expecting Awesome Kong to debut at the Rumble, it's a shame she didn't but I have a feeling when she does she will make an impact right away.
TNA got the big FU from WWE this past week weather they want to admit it or not. Nash and Booker were supposed to be "They" this past week and TNA knows it.
With that said I think TNA made a GREAT move to break fortune away from immortal. I'm a HUGE AJ Styles fan and I'm happy to see him and Beer Money and Kaz break away from them. Nice last minuet planning on TNA's part.
But note to TNA: Next time you do a storyline make sure the guys you have planned are under contract! This could of worked out very bad for TNA but in the end it's what's best for the company.
After watching this weeks impact I'm ready to see TNA take it on the road. The crowd does not seem as hot as it once was. I think bringing it on the road will help TNA and hopefully they do more.
Whenever I see Bischoff in the middle of the ring with 10 guys around him talking gibberish all I think of us the NWO....and that's what I thought on Thursday. But it was indeed a good opener.
I've lost complete interest in Ink Ink, to me they just don't jel very well together.
I like seeing TNA put more work into their X-Division, hopefully they keep that up.
Hopefully TNA give Anderson a nice long title run. He deserves it more then Hardy in my opinion.
Don't forget we will NOT be on Blogtalk Radio anymore! We will be on talkshoe.com this coming Monday!

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking Pawn Stars, Two and a half Men, The Royal Rumble, WWE, TNA and more
What’s up everybody it’s time for another edition of the weekend wrap up.
Anyone else watch the show Pawn Stars? It’s on the History channel and if you have Netflix I suggest streaming a few episodes, it’s a fun show and you can learn stuff without feeling like a nerd.
Also Two and a half men is a show everyone needs to watch very funny, to bad Charlie Sheen is a party animal in real life as well,.
Tomorrow/Today depending on when you read this is WWE’s Royal Rumble, it is one of my favorite pay per views each year and I think we’ll see some surprises from WWE this year as well.
I would expect a guy like Del Rio to get a nice long run in the rumble with possibly even entering at No 1 and going all the way to the final four.
There are STRONG rumors around the net that Booker T will be making his return to the company at the Royal Rumble, I think WWE could use Booker right now I think he’d make a great fit for either Raw or Smackdown!
I’d also expect John Cena to do VERY will in the Royal Rumble on Sunday, I don’t however expect him to win, but you never know with WWE. Cena is the type of guy who will STILL sell the pay per view even without the title.
WWE announced Stone Cold Steve Austin as the host of WWE’s Tough Enough, I like this move I think it will really get fans to tune in just to see the Texas Rattlesnake.
Speaking of Tough Enough there are also rumors of William Regal being the trainer for the show, again I think this would be a GREAT move, I hope he is more like Al Snow when he was a trainer Al was a GREAT mentor for those kids.
WWE had a Champion VS Champion match on Raw between Miz and Edge, to bad these matches lost their meaning a long time ago.
I do like the cross brand appearances now days, that WWE has been doing. It sure has made Smackdown! more enjoyable.
TNA’s “big” impact they’ve been promoting is coming up this Thursday, I’m VERY interested in this to see who the new “they” are. I’m betting it will be one big let down though, just like most things TNA does.
If Hardy gets his belt back I really just may stop watching TNA all together. I’m not a Hardy fan anymore and I think Anderson is the best long-term option for TNA. Anderson is GREAT on the mic and depending on who he’s in the ring with he’s very good in the ring.
Seeing as Jeff Hardy sentencing has still not happened yet I don’t see a title change this Thursday on impact! I REALLY hope TNA gives Anderson a long run. He deserves it.
Matt Hardy seems to be very bloated these days, I’m not impressed with his in ring work at all since coming to TNA and I did have some hopes for him as he was talking himself up making it seem like he was trying to get in shape.
TNA brought up the fact that Abyss had been attacked at the end of impact! Two weeks ago, it’s about time. I still think that should have been the focus point as impact went off the air that week with Tennay or Taz saying something.
This past week Shotgun Wrestling Radio announced we are moving to a new home. www.shoetalk.com will be the NEW home for Shotgun Wrestling Radio, We will still be on at the same time Monday’s at 2pm, and you will have to register a user name to access our show, but it is completely free! So we’d REALLY appreciate the support if you guys would follow us to our new home.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking The Corre, The Nexus, Royal Rumble, TNA, "They" and MUCH more.
The Royal Rumble is just a couple weeks away and it's shaping up to be decent.
Each week it seems my pick for the Rumble winner changes, this week i just could see Morrison going out on top.
I would expect to see a showdown between CM Punk's Nexus and Wade Barrett's The Corre during the Rumble to possibly set up for a match at Elimination Chamber.
I like the feel so far of the Corre group it doesn't seem that there is one leader and they all do their part. It is nice to see WWE going back to having Factions though. I think you often times need factions to help spice things up a bit.
Not very many matches announced for the rumble, but they're doing a nice job hyping up the 40 man Royal Rumble match.
I think Edge will go out on top of his match but I also wouldn't be surprised to see Ziggler win his first title as well.
I do see The Miz going over Randy Orton again and walking into Wrestlemania as champion.
Anybody else catch Superstars this week? Anybody? Anybody? haha didn't think so, Apparently David Hart Smith and Darren Young are a new tag team now. Should be interesting to see if we ever get to see them on Raw at some point.
Speaking of Superstars Gail Kim and Alicia put on a REALLY decent women's match on LAST week's episode of superstars, if you haven't checked it out you should go watch it.
Superstars is more or less Sunday night heat but only on Thursdays.
TNA was still hyping "they" again this past week, I'm so sick of they "they" storyline I don't know why they felt the need to go back to it. I'm not getting my hopes up on who "they" are mainly cause last time it was an utter disappointment
TNA caught yet another break in the Jeff Hardy case as his sentence was delayed until later next month.
Regardless I see Anderson keeping the belt on Feb 3rd, until TNA finds out what Hardy's sentence will be. Either way I'm just not a fan of Hardy as champion.
I'm not sure what to think of the Jeff Jarret/Karren Jarrett/Kurt Angle Storyline.
I think Angle and Jeff will be able to have a hell of a match with each other, Angle looks to be in GREAT shape right now and Angle brings the best out of people he's in the ring with.
10-1 chance that TNA produces their Feb 3rd iMpact better then their next Pay Per View.....Right now there doing more hype for that then there next pay per view. I just have this feeling that's what TNA is gunna do......
If you haven't yet please check the Shotgun Wrestling Radio facebook page for the announcement on where we will be moving our show to.

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking WWE, TNA, Matt Hardy, Ultimate Fighter, Royal Rumble and Much More!
TNA Put on a good quality Pay Per View last weekend, Kudos. You don't see me saying that very often.
I loved the ending with the surprised TNA World Title match and even better with Mr. Anderson winning the World Title!
I hope TNA gives Anderson a long title run, he deserves it and IMO has gotten MUCH better since coming to TNA. He's currently one of my favorite guys on their roster.
I really hope they don't make Anderson carry around the "Jeff Hardy World Title"
Matt Hardy made his debut Sunday night, Shouldn't of surprised anyone really. What should of surprised people is how much he looks like Tyler Reks or as Ziggy put it a Raven rip off.
I don't see Matt Hardy being a main event-er in TNA. I honestly just see him being another guy on their roster.
I'm also starting to loose any respect I ever had for Matt Hardy, dude runs his mouth to much and OVER-Hyped his return....I thought he was working out? Could of fooled me.
Moving on to Raw.
It was a very talkative show, I liked the Nexus "initiation" that Punk did....Those welts on the back of Husky looked like they hurt like a mother fu*ker....
The way WWE is pushing Alberto Del Rio on both brands there is no way he doesn't become world champion within the next year.
If I had to pick a Royal Rumble winner right now I would put money on Del Rio winning.
I'm really interested to see where WWE goes with King Sheamus, loosing this week to Morrison, doesn't do much for him. Guy should be in the title hunt.
WWE is advertising Triple H's return to the ring, it's only a matter of time for him to come back. If i had to bet i see him returning during the Royal Rumble to eliminate Sheamus to continue their feud going into a Wrestlemania Match.
Who else could be away from T.V. for just about a year and get a bigger pop then The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels? GREAT ovation.
Also who better to go into the Hall of Fame then HBK? The Greatest performer perhaps of all time. He's always been my top favorite wrestler ahead of Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan.
I would be willing to guess Triple H would induct him in the hall of fame. I know at one point he said he would like Bret Hart to do it but that was before they cleared the air with each other. I would like to see the whole gang induct him HHH,Nash,Pac and Hall would be cool to see them induct hui,. But chances are it'll be HHH.
I would love to see Sting accept a Hall of fame induction with WWE and have them do a proper DVD on him. I also would like to see Savage and Lugar go in as well...I think Lugar is a lock to go in but I'm not so sure about Savage.
Dana White put the rumors of Brock Lesnar doing Wrestlemania to rest even more by announcing that he will be a coach on the next Ultimate Fighter, this move surprised me as Lesnar doesn't care to much for reality TV. The other coach is Junior Dos Santos which is a much better fight then having another Brock V.S. Frank Mir fight.
That'll do it for another edition of the weekend wrap up.

TNA Genesis Picks
Matt Morgan V.S. Mr. Anderson for the No 1 contender-ship for the TNA Heavyweight championship - I'm taking Mr. Anderson in this one. If we have to sit through another Morgan/Hardy match up, we all will need help.
Kurt Angles V.S. Jeff Jarrett in an MMA Exhibition - Angle should clearly win this one.
RVD V.S. an opponent of Jeff Hardy's choice - I think the mystery opponent will be either Matt Hard, Shane Helms or Abyss, either way I think RVD wins here.
Motor City Machine Guns V.S. Beer Money inc for the TNA tag titles - I think this time around Beer Money will have the machine guns number and take the gold.
Madison Rayne V.S Mickie James for the TNA Knockouts title- I think Mickie will get the win here and get her first TNA knockouts title.
Brother Ray V.S. Devon - Snooze fest in this one....Don't care about this match at all...I'll go with Brother Ray though
Jay Lethal V.S Kazarian for the X-Division title - Should be a good opener, I think Jay Lethal will retain here but wouldn't be surprised to see Kazarian win it either.
Douglas Williams V.S A.J Styles for the TNA TV Title- I think Williams retains the belt here.
Ziggy's Picks

Chewy's Weekend Wrap Up: Talking WWE,TNA, Title Reigns and much more
I thought Monday's Raw was very good. WWE needs to produce more shows like this weekly.
You gotta feel bad for John Morrison, just when you think he's getting a push they end it to early IMO. I wish they would of made him in the main event at the Royal Rumble.
I can't say I'm looking forward to another Miz VS Orton match, needless to say i do think Miz will win and be champion come Wrestlemania.
Anyone catch Smackdown! last night? Overall it was a very stacked show.
I'm happy to see Kofi Kingston got the IC title.
Wade Barrett on Smackdown is a good move, be interesting to see how he is used, I think Wade still has star potential.
Speaking of Barrett I LOVE the addition of CM Punk to The Nexus, I've always been a fan of Punk and think is makes a GREAT leader for them.
Smackdown! brand is coming to Cedar Rapids for a house show, I bought tickets for me and my brother-in-law, should be fun, Smackdown! has not done a house show here before.
TNA announced the X-Division championship match would open up the pay-per-view tomorrow, GREAT move, you need something to get the crowd into it and on track for the rest of the night.
There aren't a lot of matches on this pay-per-view I'm looking forward to, The main event should be decent, I'm hoping Anderson comes out on top, also looking forward to Jarrett/Angle. I think those two should be able to throw it down.
Otherwise this Pay-Per-View is just another show for me. I DO think we will see Matt Hardy debut OR Shane Helms debut to face RVD. TNA has always been good about keeping debut's a surprise.
If you guys haven't yet go pick up a copy of The WWE Championship book, I'm about 14 chapters into it right now and so far it's a GREAT read.
One thing I found interesting is how long title reigns were back in those days, I mean you would have guys have the belt for 3-4 years, I don't think thats possible in todays wrestling world. The closest we came to it was John Cena.
Kind of a shorter weekend wrap up this week. Be sure to check back tomorrow for our TNA pay per view picks.
